Package once. Reuse the content.
Split files at content-defined boundaries. Store unique chunks once, with a manifest that maps how to reconstruct every file.
File transfer that remembers what’s already there. DEXIS reuses content from previous versions, so only the missing pieces need to move.
For teams moving large, versioned datasets · DEXIS 0.4
Existing content and new changes.
Less repeated data on the connection.
Rebuilt with validated local content.
Reuse across versions.Send what the receiver needs.
Pick up where you left off.Resume from validated content.
Keep the complete package.Reconstruct every file.
A new build. Another revision. The next delivery. DEXIS finds the content your destination already has, so your team can move updated projects without sending every matching chunk again.
Split files at content-defined boundaries. Store unique chunks once, with a manifest that maps how to reconstruct every file.
Check the receiver’s validated content store. Matching chunks from earlier versions can stay at the destination.
Upload missing chunks. After an interruption, continue from the receiver’s inventory of validated content.
DEXIS works with content inside files, not just filenames. Matching raw bytes can be reused across packages, even when their compression changes.
Pack, inspect, verify and send with a single CLI. See how much content is unique, check package integrity and evaluate transfer behavior on the datasets your team actually uses.
# Package a project version
$ dexis pack /projects/shot-010 -o shot-010.dxis
# Inspect content and verify the package
$ dexis inspect shot-010.dxis
$ dexis verify shot-010.dxis --level full
# Send to your configured receiver
$ dexis send shot-010.dxis \

Content-aware by design.
FastCDC-style chunking identifies boundaries from file content. A native Rust/PyO3 scanner handles the bytewise hot path, with a matching Python fallback as the reference path.
Chunk identity comes from the original, uncompressed bytes. Compression choices do not change how DEXIS identifies the underlying content.
Adaptive mode probes new unique chunks and keeps Zstandard only when the complete chunk meets the configured savings threshold. Otherwise, it stores the raw content.
SQLite manifests record exact reconstruction maps. Packages remain self-contained, without a permanent dependency on the receiver’s shared cache.
The receiver can reuse validated matching content from earlier packages. When an encoding differs, DEXIS can attempt local re-encoding before requesting an upload.
Bring a representative dataset and its revisions. Evaluate the current Windows build through a private pilot, and see how DEXIS fits your transfer workflow.
Bring a non-critical dataset and its revisions, with independent source copies.
Compare packing, deduplication, compression and repeated-transfer behavior.
Evaluate the fit against your data, connection and operational requirements.
DEXIS 0.4 is functional alpha software for controlled technical evaluation. Use non-critical data and retain independent source copies. Production SLAs, an independent security audit, signed Windows binaries and enterprise support are not currently offered or claimed.
